The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department (EEE) was founded in 1981 as part of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Ege University. In 1982, the Department of EEE was incorporated into the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the newly established Dokuz Eylül University. The Department of EEE started its graduate and undergraduate programs in the academic years of 1981-1982 and 1982-1983, respectively.
