History

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was founded by Prof. Dr. Hakkı Oranç at 17 February 1981 as a department of Ege University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. After the foundation of Dokuz Eylül University, EEE department has continued its activity in the structure of the Faculty of Engineering of DEU. Department started its graduate program in 1981-1982 academic year and undergraduate program in 1982-1983 academic year. It has continued its graduate program in English since 1987 and undergraduate program since 1993 in formal education. The purpose of the department is to train creative engineers in theoretical and applied subjects to meet the needs of industry and society. For this purpose, the program includes courses on circuits, electronics, electromagnetics, computers, control, power and communication systems. The program is accredited by Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MUDEK)
