History

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of D.E.U. was founded by Prof. Dr. Hakkı Oranç at 17 February 1981. The graduate and the undergraduate programs started in 1981 and 1982, and they are in English since 1987 and 1993, respectively. Our purpose is to educate creative electrical and electronics engineers in theoretical and applied subjects to meet the needs of the industry and society. We focus on education and research at the areas of the telecommunication, microelectronics, energy systems, and biomedical systems. We serve over 700 students with 9 professors, 6 associate, and 14 assistant professors. The program is accredited internationally by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MUDEK).
